Precautions for polishing injection mold are as follows:
1. When machining a new cavity, first check the surface of the workpiece and clean the surface with kerosene to make the surface of the oilstone not sticky and dirty and lose the cutting function.
2. When grinding coarse grain, it can be carried out in the order of difficulty first and then easy, especially for some dead corners that are difficult to grind, deep or bottom should be grinded first,
3. Some workpieces may need to be polished together in multiple groups. First study the coarse grain or spark pattern of a single workpiece, and then put all workpieces together for polishing.
4. For large plane or side plane workpieces, use oilstone to study the rough pattern, and then use straight steel plate to conduct light transmission test to check whether there is uneven or reverse buckle damage. If there is reverse buckle, it will lead to production difficulty or part pulling.
5. In order to prevent the injection mold design workpiece from developing reverse buckle or other problems, the bonding surface needs to be protected, it can be pasted with saw blade or sand paper on the edge, so as to obtain an ideal protective effect.
6. Pull the grinding die plane back and forth, and drag the oilstone handle as flat as possible, no more than 25 °; Because the slope is too large, the force will impact from top to bottom, which is easy to cause a lot of thick lines on the workpiece.
7. If the plane of a workpiece is polished with copper or bamboo pressed with sandpaper, the sandpaper shall not affect the use area of other tools, otherwise it will be grinded to the place that should not be grinded.
8. The shape of the grinding tool shall be close to the die surface to ensure that the workpiece is not deformed.
If the above points are done well, the appearance of the injection mold will be very good after grinding.
