1. Good wear resistance. The gloss and accuracy of the surface of injection molded parts are directly related to the wear resistance of the surface of the injection mold cavity. Especially when some plastics add glass fiber, inorganic filler and some pigments, it flows at idle speed in the flow channel and cavity together with the plastic melt. The friction on the cavity surface is very large. If the material is not wear-resistant, it will wear quickly and the quality of plastic parts will be damaged.
2. The dimensional stability of injection molding is good, and the temperature of injection mold cavity should reach more than 300 ℃. Try to use tempered materials, otherwise it is easy to change the structure slightly, which can also lead to the change of size.
Easily machined mold parts are mostly made of metal materials, and some structures and shapes are still complex. In order to shorten the production cycle and improve efficiency, the die material must be easy to process into the shape and accuracy required by the drawing.
3. Good polishing performance of injection molded parts usually requires good gloss and surface state, so the roughness of the cavity surface is very small, so the cavity surface must be processed, such as polishing, grinding, etc. Therefore, the selected steel should not contain coarse impurities and pores.
4. The process of heat treatment is to improve the service performance of materials. Therefore, many molds will have the process of heat treatment, which may change the size of molds. Therefore, it is preferable to use Machinable pre hardening steel.
